When we marked Animefest 2025 in our calendar earlier this year, we had no idea what was waiting for us. It was the 20th anniversary of the festival – but for our anime figure shop Bakuhatsu, it was our very first time. And honestly? Not even the Straw Hats could’ve prepared us for this.

Prep work? Started before the first cosplay wig was styled

While most attendees were still gluing horns, fluffing tails, and charging their power banks on Thursday, we were already in Brno setting up our booth. Unboxing crates, stacking shelves, labeling merch, aligning figures so perfectly you’d think we had a level 99 OCD buff.

That Friday rush? We were not ready

We thought we were ready. We really did. But Friday hit us like a full-powered Kamehameha. The crowd? Unreal.

There was so much love, energy, and excitement, we nearly forgot we were there to sell stuff. For a moment, our booth turned into a mini con of its own. Thank you to every single one of you who stopped by, chatted with us, laughed, bought something, or just said: “Hey, I follow you guys on Instagram!”

Animefest 2025 – a milestone for us

This wasn’t just our first Animefest, it was our biggest live event yet. Seeing all the amazing cosplays, passionate fans, and the smell of ramen mixed with fresh-out-the-box anime figures? That’s not something you can replicate online.

We were right in the middle of it all – surrounded by anime figures, merch, and yes, even our good ol' No Box No Problem. Because what’s Bakuhatsu without a little bit of chaos?

See you again in 2026?

Animefest 2025 showed us that this community is alive, kind, and incredibly fun. We’d love to see you all again next year – but if you can’t wait that long, don’t worry. We’re hitting more anime conventions this year!
